About the 275/60R15 size
L60-15 in the old code, and the tire restorers fit at the rear of the most famous staggered set in American motoring. The 1970 Challenger T/A and AAR Cuda left the factory on E60-15 front and G60-15 rear; a measured G60-15 is only 26.6 in tall, so 245/60R15 is the dimensional match and 275/60R15 is the wider modern rear most cars actually run. It is also the default rear tire for a street-driven big-block on 15x8 or 15x10 wheels. Needs 8 in of rim minimum, and on an E-body it needs the fender lip rolled. Coker sells bias G60-15 reproductions; the Mickey Thompson is the drag-look radial and is not a wet-weather or winter tire in any sense.
